ACLUM seeks a Senior Government Relations Specialist to advance civil rights and liberties in Massachusetts. The role focuses on lobbying lawmakers, developing legislative strategies, and coordinating with internal teams and coalitions.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of Beacon Hill, excels in policy analysis, and can communicate complex issues clearly to diverse audiences. Hybrid work in Boston is available, with a strong commitment to advocacy excellence.

Competenze

• Minimum of five years’ experience advancing or managing legislative, policy, or political initiatives.
• Significant experience with political or advocacy campaigns.
• In-depth knowledge of the Massachusetts political ecosystem and legislative process preferred.
• JD or advanced degree in political science, public policy, government relations or related field a plus.

Mansioni

• Lobby as ACLUM’s primary lobbyist at the Massachusetts State House.
• Develop and implement legislative strategies with the Legislative Director.
• Build relationships with lawmakers and staff in coordination with ACLUM advocates.
• Draft testimony and written materials for legislative hearings.
• Represent ACLUM in legislative coalitions and coordinate advocacy campaigns.
