LJW Solutions in Chicago seeks an experienced Corporate M&A / Private Equity Associate (4–6 years’). You will lead sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions, advise on acquisitions, dispositions, and strategic mergers for financial sponsors and strategic clients.

The role emphasizes ownership of deal workstreams from inception through closing, drafting acquisition agreements, coordinating tax, finance, and IP matters, and mentoring junior associates within an international law firm

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of sophisticated M&A and private equity experience.
• Experience in a major or similarly sophisticated transactional practice.
• Strong drafting and negotiation of acquisition documents.
• Ability to manage significant deal workstreams independently.
• Illinois Bar admission or eligibility.

Responsabilités

• Advise on domestic and cross-border corporate transactions.
• Private equity acquisitions and dispositions.
• Draft and negotiate acquisition agreements and equity documents.
• Coordinate workstreams across tax, finance, employment, IP and other areas.
• Mentor junior associates and work with sponsors and buyers/sellers.
• Manage transaction closings.
