Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a corporate associate in Chicago with strong M&A and private equity experience to manage transaction workstreams from inception to closing.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, and is barred in the relevant jurisdiction. You will coordinate cross-functional deal teams and mentor junior attorneys in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• At least 4 years of private equity and M&A experience, preferably in a large law firm.
• Ability to manage substantial components of transactions from early stages to closing.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate principal transaction documents.
• Coordinate input across deal teams.
• Manage and execute due diligence, escalating issues as needed.
• Provide post-closing support for portfolio company matters, including acquisitions and financings.
• Drive and organize deal execution and closings, managing aggressive timelines.
• Collaborate with specialists to manage cross-functional workflows.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, delegating tasks and providing feedback.
