UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Senior Licensed Vocational Nurse (CBH BIGGS Alzheimer’s dept) to provide general nursing care under supervision. The role may involve mentoring junior staff and coordinating patient care in a high-demand clinical setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and graduation from an approved vocational nursing program, 5 years LVN experience, active LVN license, and BLS certification. On-site duties at 7703 Floyd Curl Drive.

Formación

• High school or GED and graduation from an approved vocational nursing school is required.
• Five (5) years of vocational nursing experience is required.
• LVN license upon hire is required.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification is required.

Responsabilidades

• Sorts, prioritizes, and manages patient messages and calls; schedules patient appointments.
• Prepares patients for examinations, maintains sterile fields, assists with examinations and clinical care, and documents.
• Assists providers with procedures, handles discharges and communicates instructions to patients and families.
• Maintains exam and procedure rooms, stocks supplies, and transports patients safely.
• Performs Point of Care Testing (POCT) and reports findings to RN or Provider.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
