Job summary

Biogen is seeking a Strategy & Operations Lead in Cambridge, MA to partner with US Lupus leadership and drive strategic planning, budgeting, and operational execution across US Medical. You will oversee critical programs, coordinate ICP processes, and ensure alignment with global strategies, while building strong cross-functional relationships and presenting complex content clearly.

The role requires a BA/BS with 7+ years in pharma, advanced degree preferred, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD, PharmD) preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience in Medical Affairs, Pharmaceutical Operations, etc., required.
• Strong financial planning and business acumen; ability to oversee US Lupus budget.
• Proven program management; leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to present complex medical and business content clearly to executives.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Be a Trusted Strategic Partner to the US Head of Lupus, proactively highlighting risks/opportunities and directing critical activities.
• Support building the overarching US medical RD strategy/plan with Lupus leadership.
• Oversee financial planning for the US Lupus budget and other US Medical areas.
• Lead project/program management and continuous improvement across TAs/factions.
• Develop presentation materials for Biogen leadership and external stakeholders.
• Ensure US Medical stays on track to annual and long-term goals via reviews and meetings.
• Coordinate ICP processes within Lupus and integrate with Global/US ICP strategies.
• Direct operations with medical operation leads and external engagements (ad boards, forums).
• Manage information flow and ensure communication cascade across matrixed organization.
• Drive accountability, teamwork, and a culture of trust across the team.
