Job summary

Valley Metro RPTA in Phoenix seeks a skilled maintenance technician to service Light Rail Vehicle systems, performing electrical, electronic and mechanical repairs to ensure performance and safety. This safety-sensitive role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience, with proficiency in diagnostics, troubleshooting and software updates.

Shift differential is offered for 2nd and 3rd shifts, with pay starting between $29.96 and

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Three years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience including electrical/electronic diagnostics and repair; troubleshooting of complex systems.
Equivalent education with experience considered; additional education cannot substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair LRV systems using electrical schematics.
Identify parts, use diagnostic equipment, and maintain repair logs.
Update operating software to ensure proper LRV function.
Perform general cleaning and maintenance of tools, parts, and equipment.
Cross-train and assist peers; respond to emergencies and special projects.
