Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Iowa seeks a Senior Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor to provide specialized psychotherapy for veterans with co-occurring substance use and PTSD within the OSATP network at Coralville VA clinics and CRRCs.

The incumbent acts as a subject matter expert, delivers evidence-based therapies, mentors staff, and supports data-driven program development. Experience and licensure in LPMHC are required; EDRP eligibility is noted.

Qualifications

• LPMHC license required or eligible for licensure
• Master's or doctoral degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or CACREP-accredited program
• Experience with evidence-based psychotherapies for SUD/PTSD preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized individual, group and family psychotherapy for co-occurring SUD/PTSD
• Conduct assessments and coordinate crisis counseling as needed
• Mentor staff and supervise licensure candidates
• Collaborate with OSATP and leadership to implement data-driven improvements
• Deliver training and consultations on evidence-based therapies
