Job summary

GCS Recruitment seeks a Senior Looker Administrator to operate, modernize, and migrate an enterprise Looker environment. You will serve as a senior technical resource for platform reliability, governance, integrations, and advanced Looker capabilities.

Ideal candidates bring enterprise Looker administration expertise, strong LookML and SQL skills, and experience with Snowflake/Teradata, cloud migrations, and API usage. This role offers a path to shape data architecture in a large BI ecosystem.

Qualifications

Enterprise Looker administration experience.
Strong LookML and BI platform knowledge.
Experience with production support and platform troubleshooting.
Experience with Git/GitHub-based development workflows.
Understanding of identity and access management, particularly Azure AD.
Experience with Looker APIs.
Strong SQL and data modeling knowledge.
Experience with Snowflake and/or Teradata.
Cloud migration experience is highly valuable.
Excellent documentation, communication, and knowledge-transfer skills.

Responsibilities

Looker Platform Administration: Provide advanced L3/L4 support across Looker Development and Production environments.
Security & Governance: Develop scripted processes for user provisioning and entitlement management.
Looker APIs & Advanced Capabilities: Support Looker APIs, including Admin APIs, Inline Queries, and Query ID.
Cloud Migration: Support migration from customer-hosted Looker to Google-hosted Looker Core.
Data Modernization: Validate Looker models and query behavior across data platforms.
Knowledge Transfer: Create runbooks and mentor internal engineering teams.
