Job summary

Tredence Inc. is seeking a Senior BI Engineer (Looker) to design and build scalable BI solutions in a remote setting across the USA. You will develop Looker models, dashboards, and semantic layers, collaborating with stakeholders to drive data-driven decisions.

You will apply deep SQL skills, data warehousing concepts, and cloud analytics experience to deliver reliable analytics, governance, and self-service capabilities for enterprise users.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing scalable BI solutions.
• Strong SQL and data warehousing concepts required.
• Hands-on Looker/LookML development and semantic modeling knowledge.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale BI solutions using Looker.
• Build and optimize LookML models, explores, dashboards, and reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
• Translate business needs into scalable BI solutions.
• Maintain semantic layers and data models for reporting consistency.
• Partner with data engineering to improve data quality and performance.
• Create executive dashboards and self-service analytics capabilities.
• Optimize SQL and Looker performance for large datasets.
• Establish BI governance, data definitions, and reporting standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot discrepancies.
• Mentor junior BI engineers and promote BI best practices.
• Support ad-hoc analytics and provide actionable insights.
