Job summary

Walmart is seeking a senior logistics operations leader in Topeka, KS to drive and implement business plans across facility operations. You will forecast staffing, manage budgets, monitor performance, and ensure safety and quality standards are upheld.

You will supervise and develop managers and associates, foster a culture of belonging, and partner with local communities. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, process improvements, and deep experience in distribution/logistics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field, and 2 years experience in a senior management role within operations/distribution/logistics environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide
• Or 2 years experience as a Walmart Logistics Operations Manager including supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of associates
• Or 4 years experience in a senior management role in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide

Responsibilities

• Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and in writing to drive and implement the business plan for area of responsibility to achieve facility goals such as production, quality, safety and implement operational improvements
• Forecast and follow up on staffing workload and performance to meet business demands; monitor and analyze performance results
• Manage financial aspects by tracking expenses vs budget, monitor asset utilization and prepare and review business reports
• Ensure facility-wide compliance with Logistics, quality and safety standards, policies and procedures; develop and maintain procedures and documentation
• Lead and develop associates and leaders; provide direction, set goals, monitor performance, identify training needs and provide growth opportunities
• Attract, retain and develop top talent; create a culture of belonging and collaboration; promote integrity and community involvement
• Set and drive customer-focused initiatives; use data-driven decisions to balance short- and long-term priorities
• Champion continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies and skills
