Job summary

Precise Systems Inc. seeks a qualified logistics professional to support the AN/BYG-1 CM/ILS team in Newport, RI. The role focuses on configuration planning, data management, and documentation across Navy systems.

You will interface with sponsors and centers, maintain CM/ILS data and schedules, and develop weekly CM reports while ensuring QA for software from providers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop Configuration Overhaul Planning (COP) and maintenance work-files in CDMD-OA and submit to Navy CDM.
• Interface with Program Sponsors and naval centers as required.
• Maintain CM/ILS/Installation data including ECD status and ship schedules.
• Assist in CM/ILS area organization, documentation development and access to databases.
• Develop, update and distribute weekly/bi-weekly CM reports.
• Perform QA inspections of software from providers to ensure requirements.
• Support PMS documentation and NSLC requirements with ISEA 040 coordination.
• Support MRC Validation/Verification events.
• Develop ILS Certifications through data research in Navy Data Environment.
• Develop Engineering Change Documentation (ECD) and coordinate with divisions.

Job description

Support the AN/BYG-1 CM/ILS team as follows:

• Develop Configuration Overhaul Planning (COP), maintenance and completion work-files in the Configuration Data Managers Database – Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) databases and submit to the Navy Configuration Data Manager (CDM) and. Conduct functional and physical configuration audits of hardware and software.
• Interfacing with Program Sponsors, Naval Sea Logistics Center, NUWC Keyport, and other activities as required.
• Maintain current and correct CM/ILS/Installation data including status of ECD, completions of tasks and boat schedules.
• Completing tasks requested by team leads to support the completion of CM/ILS products, such as assisting in the maintaining and organization of the CM/ILS area of the AN/BYG-1 Collaborative Environment, supporting CM documentation development and approval, and obtaining access to all databases required for completion of tasks.
• Develop, update and distribute weekly/bi-weekly CM reports.
• Perform Quality Assurance (QA) physical inspections of software received from source providers and ensure the software meets requirements.
• Conduct routine spot checks with ISEA 040 and develop Planned Maintenance System Service Requests (PSR) in accordance with Naval Sea Logistics Command (NSLC) requirements.
• Manage and track all new and revised PMS documentation to help support In Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) 040 with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) efforts.
• Support Maintenance Requirements Card (MRC) Validation/Verification test events.
• Developing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Certifications primarily with research of data and data entry in Navy Data Environment (NDE).
• Developing Engineering Change Documentation (ECD) and integrating with other groups within our division to obtain data and ensure its accuracy.

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum of 5 year’ experience Navy DoD logistics
• Bachelors level degree in any field
• Previously served as submarine FT officer
• Strong technical writing skills
• Reliability Centered Maintenance experience
• Experience with Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) subsystems and processes.
• CM Pro or other Navy CM database experience
