Job summary

The State of Louisiana's Local Government Services (LGS) seeks a Senior I with substantial knowledge of governmental internal controls, operations, and best practices to contribute to engagements and advisory projects, while guiding staff on a limited basis.

This role requires strong organizational abilities, sound judgment, and effective communication, with CPA or CIA preferred. In-state travel may be required and collaboration with LLA/management is essential.

Qualifications

• CPA (preferred) or CIA certification is highly desirable.
• At least 1 year of professional-level experience as Staff II or in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist local governments in resolving compliance or operational challenges.
• Document internal control issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Prepare clear reports and support legislative requests and fiscal notes.
• Support advisory projects and contribute to project planning and risk assessment.
