Job summary

ConocoPhillips seeks a seasoned Quantitative Analyst to support global LNG trading, origination, and portfolio optimization. You will own the platform's optimization logic, validate models, and work with traders on high-value, complex transactions.

Periodic travel to London and Singapore may be required. The role requires a Master’s degree in a quantitative field, 10+ years of hands-on experience, and strong Python skills with expertise in solvers like Gurobi/CPLEX.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field and 10+ years of energy/financial experience.
  • Strong command of optimization methods and production-grade models.
  • Experience with hedging analytics and model governance.
  • Proficiency in Python and commercial solvers for large-scale problems.

Responsibilities

  • Own the LNG portfolio valuation engine, including constraint formulation and math engine.
  • Lead model validation, back-testing, and benchmarking against references.
  • Collaborate with traders and origination on complex LNG transactions.
  • Develop pricing frameworks for optionality and non-standard structures.
  • Deliver outputs with attribution, hedging analytics, and audit-ready documentation.
