Qualifications

• Certification as Therapeutic Recreation Director (TRD) required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of word processing and MS Office helpful.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and conducts activities to motivate residents and improve quality of life.
• Works at resident's bedside with designed activities.
• Conducts one-on-one activities and sensory stimulation.
• Documents resident participation and progress.
• Assists with supply inventory and planning for the department.
• Assists with transportation of residents to program areas and outings.
• Assists with writing and assembling the monthly newsletter.
• Conducts assessments of new admissions and captures resident interests.
