Job summary

Quail Park Communities in Visalia, CA is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to lead the Signature Dining team. You will oversee daily culinary operations, develop menus, supervise staff, and deliver meals that are flavorful, nutritious, and visually appealing for residents.

As a culinary leader, you’ll ensure high standards of safety, sanitation, and hospitality while collaborating with the Director of Signature Dining to provide exceptional resident experiences.

Qualifications

• Culinary arts training or certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of food service experience with increasing responsibility.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Previous senior living dining experience preferred.
• Experience working in multiple dining venues preferred.
• Strong understanding of kitchen and dining operations.
• Experience developing or executing menus for seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily kitchen operations with the Director of Signature Dining.
• Lead, train, and support culinary team members during shifts.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on time to established standards.
• Assist with menu development and production planning.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and budget adherence.
