Cardinal Senior Living’s Byron Manor Senior Living is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to lead daily kitchen operations and partner with the Executive Chef. You’ll craft menus, supervise the culinary team, and ensure every plate meets high standards for quality, temp, and presentation.

You’ll manage features, holidays, and catered events, while coaching staff, maintaining safety, and fostering a resident-focused dining experience in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• Professional culinary or high-volume food service experience.
• Knowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling practices.
• Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• The ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality.
• Leadership potential and the confidence to direct a kitchen.
• Team-first mentality.
• The physical ability to remain active and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Support daily kitchen operations and lead when the Executive Chef is unavailable.
• Direct the kitchen leadership during peak times and events.
• Ensure food quality, presentation, portions, and temperature meet standards.
• Assist with menu planning, costing, and execution.
• Support features, holidays, catered events, and special functions.
• Assist with orders, production schedules, records, and kitchen documentation.
• Train and support culinary team members.
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety.
• Identify operational problems and help develop solutions.
• Collaborate to deliver a consistent resident dining experience.
