Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a Server to create a warm, welcoming dining experience for residents and guests at our Delaware community. You will deliver friendly, timely service and maintain a clean, inviting dining area, upholding high standards of hospitality.

Responsibilities include taking orders, serving meals, staying knowledgeable about menus, supporting opening/closing duties, and assisting with training new staff. Flexible schedules include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous dining or hospitality experience preferred.
• Enjoys working with seniors and providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to interact professionally with residents, guests and team members.
• Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Take meal and beverage orders and serve food in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
• Ensure residents and guests are satisfied with their meals and dining experience.
• Maintain knowledge of daily specials, menus, and food items to assist residents with selections.
• Set up, maintain, and clean dining room tables, side stations, and surrounding areas.
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Practice proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including completing assigned checklists.
• Support orientation and training of new servers as needed.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and hospitality.
• Assist with dining room organization, flow, and supply placement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
