Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our Florida community dining team. You will take orders, serve meals with warmth, maintain a clean dining area, and support daily dining operations with residents and guests.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, prior dining or hospitality experience, and a passion for working with seniors. You’ll contribute to a welcoming, high-quality dining program that reflects our standards of care and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Experience in dining or hospitality preferred.
• Excellent customer service for seniors.
• Ability to interact professionally with residents and staff.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift 25–50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Take meal and beverage orders and serve food in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
• Ensure residents and guests are satisfied with their meals and dining experience.
• Maintain knowledge of daily specials, menus, and food items to assist residents with selections.
• Set up, maintain, and clean dining room tables, side stations, and surrounding areas.
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Practice proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including completing assigned checklists.
• Support orientation and training of new servers as needed.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and hospitality.
• Assist with dining room organization, flow, and supply placement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
