Job summary

Mercy Ridge Retirement Community seeks a Renovations Technician to join our Facilities team. The role involves renovation work in residential units, including walls, cabinets, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general maintenance.

You will also manage punch lists and assist with special projects, grounds work, storm cleanup and snow removal as needed. The position requires a High School diploma or GED, 1–3 years of hands-on experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School education or GED; graduate of accredited technical school preferred (but not required).
• Minimum of 1–3 years of hands-on painting, maintenance, construction and/or mechanical experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must communicate effectively with residents, staff and visitors and maintain a customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform apartment renovations including demolition, construction and installation of walls and cabinets.
• Handle electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general maintenance tasks as needed.
• Complete punch-list corrections and participate in special projects and preventative repairs.
• Assist with grounds maintenance, storm cleanup and snow removal following safety rules.
