CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare food for residents and guests, following menus and recipes for events. This role requires standing for long periods and adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three years of line cook experience and/or training.
• Good communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food for residents, guests, and employees.
• Prepare food according to the planned menu using standard recipes.
• Plate food items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure sufficient food is prepped and prepared.
• Communicate shortages or outages to supervisor.
• Ensure freshness, proper seasoning, and correct cooking status of all foods.
• Stock and clean station for next shift.
• Follow proper food rotation policies.
• Maintain a positive attitude to support a team environment.
• Promote positive relations with residents, families and guests.
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy and well-being in a safe environment.
• Maintain safety, sanitation and security practices.
