Job summary

HKS, Inc. is seeking an Interior Designer to contribute to project design development, producing interior plans, elevations and details under supervision.

The role supports coordination with consultants and vendors to ensure design intent is carried through construction. A professional degree and 2–5+ years’ experience are expected, with NCIDQ progress and sustainable design knowledge valued.

Qualifications

• Accredited professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• 2–5+ years of experience in interior design or related field.
• On the path to NCIDQ certification; sustainable design accreditation preferred.
• Knowledge of interior design standards and project coordination processes.

Responsibilities

• Document and convey design requirements and solutions to the design and construction team under supervision.
• Assist in preparing interior plans, elevations, details and FF&E plans.
• Review designs for integrity, accuracy and quality with project team.
• Organise files, materials and displays; assist with site surveys and test fits.
• Coordinate with consultants, suppliers and vendors to meet project objectives.
• Maintain FF&E databases and equipment specifications.
