Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Nashville, TN, is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean common areas and resident apartments in our luxury senior living community. You will assist with laundry, report maintenance needs, and uphold resident privacy and safety while following all company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Housekeeping experience highly desired.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to complete assignments thoroughly and on time.
• Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
• Polite and courteous to all residents, visitors, co-workers and management team.
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, grasp, push and pull for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs and carry heavy objects for up to 20 feet.
• Must wear designated uniform during work hours and maintain good personal hygiene.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean common living areas and resident apartments in the community.
• Oversee cleaning of the entire facility, with emphasis on common areas and apartment bathrooms.
• Complete maintenance request reports when needed.
• Operate the laundry equipment when needed.
• Report inadequate quantities of supplies to housekeeping supervisor.
• Use approved cleaning products and store supplies properly.
• Dust and clean window blinds, furniture, and bookshelves in all areas.
• Vacuum common areas and resident apartments.
• Maintain resident privacy/confidentiality at all times.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
