Job summary

Atria Senior Living – Walnut Creek is hiring for a combined Housekeeping and Server role. You will clean resident spaces, handle laundry, and serve meals to residents with attention to sanitation and safety. The position requires good English communication, basic math, and the ability to manage multiple tasks across shifts.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents.
• General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to retain orders (up to four at one time).
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must successfully complete all Atria-specified training programs, including Serve Safe Certification.
• Able to operate cleaning equipment such as: iron, washer & dryer, brooms, mops, vacuums, etc.
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed and arrive to work on time.

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping: Clean public areas and resident apartments, bathrooms, kitchens, patios, windows, floors, furniture and common areas.
• Laundry: Wash, dry, iron resident laundry and community linens; fold and distribute items.
• Wash windows, stock carts, and maintain cleaning areas.
• Report safety issues to Supervisor and coordinate with Maintenance as needed.
• Server: Greet residents, take orders, serve meals and beverages; deliver trays to rooms when needed.
• Bus and clear dishes; reset tables; perform side work and maintain sanitizing procedures.
