Job summary

Oakmont of Whittier is seeking a friendly Housekeeper to clean resident apartments, public and common areas, and laundry for residents and community staff. You will support a safe, welcoming environment and collaborate with other departments to ensure quality service.

Qualifications

• Prefer prior housekeeping or janitorial experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, residents, and their families.

Responsibilities

• Clean all resident apartments, as directed.
• Clean all public areas, common areas, and work areas as directed.
• Complete community and resident laundry and ironing, as assigned.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
