Job summary

The Kensington Bethesda is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to clean resident suites and common areas at our Bethesda location. This full-time role requires attention to detail, punctuality, and the ability to work as part of a care-focused team.

You will perform routine cleaning, occasional deep cleaning, and report maintenance needs. Clear English communication, ability to follow instructions, and weekend/evening flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to clearly and proficiently communicate with people of all ages and abilities, displaying consideration of their rights and sensitivities, while maintaining an energetic, positive attitude.
• Must be able to read and write English, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must maintain a clean and well-groomed appearance and follow the dress code as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Cleans resident suites as assigned according to prescribed standards and guidelines.
• Participate in bi-annual deep cleaning of resident suites including areas behind furniture and blinds, carpet cleaning, and wall spot cleaning.
• Complete work requests for items requiring repair in resident suites and common areas.
• Cleans common areas as assigned including corridors, restrooms, offices, break rooms, lounges, and storage areas.
• Sets up supply cart at end of shift for the next day's use.
• Maintains equipment and work areas in organized, clean condition.
• Attends training courses and participates in professional development as required.
• Reports suspicion or evidence of elder abuse, mistreatment or neglect as per policies.
