Job summary

Discovery Management Group is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness in apartments, common areas and facilities within our senior living communities in Spring, Texas. You will perform daily to monthly cleaning tasks, ensure safety standards, and support a warm, welcoming environment for residents.

We value reliability, basic reading skills, and a respectful, friendly attitude toward residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Interest in working with a senior population.
• Interacts with guests, residents, and staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning duties daily, weekly, and monthly in apartments, common areas, lounges and offices.
• Sweeps, dusts, mop floors, vacuums carpets and runners; rotates hall runners.
• Cleans, sanitizes and polishes lavatories and fixtures; stocks dispensers.
• Scrubs tiles, woodwork, window frames and sills.
• Maintains equipment and supplies in a clean, orderly condition.
• Collects trash and returns it to designated pickup areas.
• Maintains community laundry and commercial laundry in a clean condition.
• Keeps cleaning chemicals stored and locked; ensures cords and carts do not block exits.
• Reports repairs and supply needs to Lead Housekeeper.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Previous housekeeping experience

Communication skills
