Job summary

Cascadia Senior Living in Olympia, WA is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment for residents. You will perform day-to-day housekeeping, operate cleaning and laundry equipment, and support a home-like community with compassion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Criminal background and fingerprint check.
• Compassion and a special interest in working with the senior population.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and overtime, to meet the requirements of the position.
• Ability to relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other employees.
• Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Meets all mandatory health requirements by State regulations.
• Ability to work independently (with minimum supervision).
• Maintains current food handler’s card.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
• Maintains clean, safe, comfortable and attractive living areas for residents.
• Follows established safety precautions and infection control practices.
• Operates and maintains housekeeping/laundry equipment as needed.
• Attends and participates in required meetings and trainings.
