Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will clean resident rooms, common areas, dining spaces, and offices, following established schedules and safety protocols.

Responsibilities include sanitizing surfaces, laundering linens, and supporting infection control, while engaging residents in a friendly, respectful manner.

Qualifications

• One year of housekeeping experience in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Friendly and professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their uses, as well as cleaning equipment, is a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, dining spaces, and administrative offices, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and mirrors.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners.
• Launder and replace linens, towels, and other textiles as needed.
• Follow the community cleaning schedule and protocol, adhering to community guidelines and established safety precautions.
• Build positive relationships with residents by engaging in friendly, respectful interactions.
• Respect residents’ privacy and preferences while cleaning their living spaces.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or changes in residents’ needs to the supervisor.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and according to instructions.
• Follow infection control and sanitation protocols, including proper handling and disposal of waste.
