Job summary

St. Luke's Home, a program of Catholic Community Services of Southern Arizona, seeks an Environmental Services Associate to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment for residents in Tucson.

You will perform room and area cleaning, disinfect and handle waste, restock supplies, and help ensure doors and systems are secure while following safety, infection-control standards and PPE. The role supports residents' comfort and dignity.

Qualifications

• Dependable, organized and pride in creating a clean, welcoming environment.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Keep resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining rooms, activity rooms, shower rooms, offices, workstations, and common areas clean and comfortable.
• Vacuum and clean carpeted areas throughout the community.
• Dust and clean furniture, equipment, walls, ceilings, woodwork, doors, windows, and windowsills.
• Disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies while following infection-control practices.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to designated disposal areas.
• Keep housekeeping carts, utility rooms, and storage areas clean, organized, and well stocked.
• Maintain housekeeping inventory and help coordinate the housekeeping schedule for rooms and common areas.
• Help ensure resident rooms are secure by checking doors, windows, lights, and air conditioning when appropriate.
• Follow all safety requirements for the use, storage, and disposal of cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Follow St. Luke's Home, OSHA, state, and federal safety and infection-control standards, including proper use of PPE
• Work independently while collaborating with coworkers to keep our community running smoothly.
• Create a clean and welcoming environment that supports the comfort, dignity, and quality of life of our residents.
