Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a Server to create a warm, welcoming dining experience for residents and guests. You will support daily dining operations with friendly, timely service while maintaining a clean and inviting environment.

Responsibilities include taking orders, assisting with menu selections, and ensuring high standards of service. Candidates should enjoy working with seniors and be able to stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous dining or hospitality experience preferred.
• Enjoys working with seniors and providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to interact professionally with residents, guests, and team members.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety.
• Good judgment, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift trays, dishes, and supplies (up to 25–50 lbs).
• Flexible schedules including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Take meal and beverage orders and serve food in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
• Ensure residents and guests are satisfied with their meals and dining experience.
• Maintain knowledge of daily specials, menus, and food items to assist residents with selections.
• Set up, maintain, and clean dining room tables, side stations, and surrounding areas.
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Practice proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including completing assigned checklists.
• Support orientation and training of new servers as needed.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and hospitality.
• Assist with dining room organization, flow, and supply placement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
