Job summary

Milestone Retirement is seeking a Server in The Dalles, OR to provide exceptional dining experiences for residents. You will deliver high-quality service during meals, keep a clean and safe dining area, and support a collaborative team that creates a welcoming community.

You will interact with residents, families, and coworkers to meet dietary needs and preferences while maintaining professional standards. The role emphasizes compassion, reliability, and teamwork in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service preferred.
• Current ServSafe Certification required.
• Ability to obtain/hold local food handling licenses as required.
• Must be 18 years or older; pass health screenings, TB clearance, fingerprinting, and background checks.
• First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure residents’ dining preferences and dietary needs are met
• Circulate in the dining room to assess satisfaction and address concerns promptly
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including tables, chairs, linens, and equipment
• Follow safe work practices and support team compliance with Safety Committee standards
• Assist coworkers beyond assigned duties to ensure smooth service and a positive team environment
• Report any elder maltreatment or abuse in accordance with policy
• Perform other duties as assigned
