Job summary

Wyndemere Senior Living in Wheaton, IL is seeking a hospitality-focused Lead Server to join our culinary team. This full-time position provides hands-on serving duties and supports the Food & Beverage team in training and guiding front of house staff during meals.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards, and ensuring superior service with an inviting dining atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Sophomore year of high school is required.
• Experience with hosting and seating tables.
• Experience in food service work is required.
• Experience in working with seniors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform serving, hosting or food running duties as needed.
• Provide training, mentorship, and direction to front of house staff.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization in the dining area.
• Provide subject matter expertise in serving and hospitality best practices.
• Assist Dining Room Manager in supervising front of house staff.
• Adhere to food quality, appearance and presentation standards.
• Maintain dining room appearance and presentation standards.
• Set tables and manage workstations; take orders and assist guests.
• Serve customers with proper etiquette and foster a welcoming atmosphere.
