Job summary

Mattoon Rehab and Healthcare Center is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our team. You will prepare and serve meals according to the menu, monitor food handling, and ensure safe, nutritious meals for residents. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior LTC dietary experience preferred and at least one year of large-scale cooking experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior dietary experience in LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting highly preferred
• One year of cook experience in a large-scale operation highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to the menu
• Monitor methods of food handling, preparation, meal service and equipment cleaning
• Safely provide nutritionally appropriate food to residents
• Ensure quality food service and nutrition care in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulations
