CareCore at Mary Scott is seeking a dependable and motivated Dietary Cook to join our team. If you enjoy preparing great meals, take pride in your work, and want to make a difference in the lives of seniors, we'd love to hear from you.

Full-time day shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM with every other weekend and holiday rotation. You will prepare nutritious meals according to planned menus and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred; healthcare or long-term care experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Dependable, organized, and a strong team player.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with residents, families, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious, appetizing meals according to planned menus and therapeutic diet guidelines.
• Ensure food is prepared safely while following all sanitation and food safety standards.
• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and meal service.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, workstations, and equipment.
• Monitor food quality and temperatures throughout preparation and service.
• Work closely with the Dietary Manager and kitchen team to provide an excellent dining experience for our residents.
