StoneBridge Senior Living in Osage Beach, MO is seeking a cook to prepare appetizing, nourishing meals that meet residents’ daily nutritional and dietary needs. The role requires following recipes, safe food handling, and collaboration with Dietitians to support resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities include meal prep, storage, and assisting with survey readiness, with a focus on person-centered care and high-quality dining experiences for residents.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a cook in an institutional food service setting preferred.
• Basic understanding of nutrition and therapeutic diets.
• Excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills.
• Understanding of person-centered care.
• Ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.

Responsibilities

• Handles and stores all food according to facility procedures and safe food handling guidelines.
• Follows standardized recipes.
• Prepares foods that correspond to the menu cycles developed by Registered Dietitians.
• Cooks meals in proper temperatures and time frames.
• Prepares and maintains supply of food alternatives to accommodate resident choices.
• Assist with storage, preparation, tray assembly, and cleaning.
• Operates institutional food prep equipment and follows maintenance schedules.
• Communicates with supervisor to maximize resident satisfaction.
• Assists the Dietary Manager with inspection prep and surveys as instructed.
