Eskaton Village Care Centre Carmichael in California is seeking a dedicated kitchen staff member for the food service team. You will prepare and cook meals, adhere to diets, and maintain sanitation standards under supervision.

The role requires high school completion (GED acceptable) and Serve Safe certification where possible. Starting pay ranges from $20.65 to $25.75 per hour, with benefits and a focus on safe, quality food service in a nonprofit aging community.

Formación

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Training and Experience: Previous Food Service Experience Preferred.
• Serve Safe Certification.

Responsabilidades

• Applies sanitation and safety techniques while working.
• Responsible for all kitchen activities in the absence of the Food Service Director/Lead Cook.
• Prepares, cooks meals according to menus and recipes and adheres to all diets.
• Measures and mixes food ingredients according to recipes and menus, preparing all types of food according to accepted production methods.
• Practices portion control during preparation and service of all diets.
• Performs cleaning and maintenance of kitchen facility and equipment; maintains logs.
• Communicates substitutions on daily menus to supervisor.
• Ensures proper labeling, dating and rotation of foods in all storage areas.
• Follows safety guidelines and uses proper body mechanics.
