Jaybird Senior Living in Colorado is seeking a reliable Cook to support our culinary department in a senior living community. You will prepare meals, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and assist the Culinary Coordinator to ensure high-quality dining experiences for residents, visitors, and team members.

The role emphasizes strict sanitation and following recipes, with opportunities to supervise inventory and assist in supervising Culinary/Resident Assistants.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required, culinary arts degree preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain food safety standards.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare food according to menu and recipe guidelines.
• Assist with serving meals in the dining room and maintaining dining areas.
• Wash dishes and clean kitchen and dining spaces per schedules.
• Maintain sanitation and food safety; use PPE as required.
• Supervise food requisitions, inventory, and rotation when Supervisor is absent.
• Assist Culinary/Resident Assistants in food prep and dining tasks.
• Report unsafe conditions and complete work orders as needed.
• Participate in staff in-services, meetings, and safety committees.
• Protect resident confidentiality and complete incident reports as needed.
