Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents and guests according to menus and recipes. You will work a split shift, 6am-2pm and 10am-6:30pm, in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Ideal candidates have at least three years of line cook experience or equivalent training and strong communication skills. The role includes food preparation, plating, and supporting staff to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• Three years of line cook experience or training.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Good communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food for residents, guests, and employees.
• Prepare food according to planned menus and standard recipes.
• Plate items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed and perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure sufficient food is prepped and/or prepared.
• Communicate shortages or outages to supervisor.
• Maintain freshness, cooking status, and proper seasoning of all foods served.
• Stock and clean station for the next shift.
• Follow proper food rotation policies.
• Present a professional appearance with uniform and name tag.
