Job summary

Ecumen Lakeshore in Duluth, MN is hiring a Full-Time Cook for the 11am–7:30pm Afternoon/Evening Shift (64 hours every two weeks). The cook will prepare and serve meals, follow recipes, respect special diets, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen. Duties include inventory, stocking, and working with staff to meet residents' needs.

Targeted pay range is $19.76–$22.55 per hour. Ecumen offers benefits based on hours worked and a nonprofit environment dedicated to senior housing and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written.
• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility and related policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides exemplary service to residents, families and guests.
• Preps, cooks and serves meals and operates kitchen equipment.
• Follows recipes and production guidelines, manages leftovers and portion control.
• Maintains inventory and stocks groceries as directed.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary and safe work area per regulations.
• Collaborates with staff to meet event and activity needs.
• Ensures residents with special diets receive appropriate food.
