Job summary

Blaire House of Worcester, a 75-bed skilled nursing center, seeks a Certified Activity Director to enhance residents' quality of life through engaging programs.

You will develop and implement social, travel, education, health, religious and recreational activities, plan a calendar of events reflecting residents' interests, and coordinate events with staff. Must assist residents with daily activities and transportation with patience and empathy.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; English literacy required.
  • Experience coordinating group programs (outings, crafts, parties) and transportation.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements social, travel, education, health, religious and recreational programs to enhance residents' quality of life.
  • Creates, plans, schedules, and executes a calendar of events including evenings and weekends.
  • Assists residents in daily recreational activities and with transportation as needed.
  • Maintains records and transmits information to the Executive Director.
  • Develops and coordinates contracts with outside services (travel agents, caterers, lecturers, entertainers).
