Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide personal care and related services to residents. You will work under the direction of the Healthcare Coordinator and assist with daily activities, hygiene, and medication reminders while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Preferred candidates have a Nurse’s Aide certification or equivalent; high school diploma or GED required, and at least six months of caregiving experience in an elder care setting.

Qualifications

• Six months caregiving experience, preferably with elderly residents.
• Completion of required medication management course.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Professionalism and ability to handle emotionally charged situations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs; report deviations to supervising nurse.
• Assist residents with personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and reminders for medications.
• Follow ISPs and daily task sheets; communicate status changes to supervisors.
• Maintain safe and clean resident environments; document progress.
• Encourage resident engagement in activities.
