Job summary

Luther Oaks in Bloomington, IL is seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator to plan and lead activities for our Assisted Living residents. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, with occasional Saturdays, offering a $17.00–$20.00/hour pay range based on experience.

You will design programs around residents’ interests, collaborate with nursing and dining staff, and create a warm, home-like daily atmosphere for older adults in our community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hands-on experience planning or leading activities programs for older adults.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to get to know residents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead recreational, social, and wellness programs for Assisted Living residents.
• Build activities that support residents’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being.
• Get to know residents’ interests, preferences, and histories, and shape programming around them.
• Work with nursing, dining, and care staff to keep residents engaged and supported.
• Run special events, holiday programming, and community outings.
• Encourage participation and keep the community feeling active and inclusive.
