Job summary

Avita of Stroudwater is seeking an Activity Assistant to partner with the Engagement Director in creating enjoyable programs for residents. You’ll plan, lead, and adapt activities that support physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being in a vibrant community.

You will connect with residents, coordinate events and trips, and help maintain a warm, inclusive atmosphere. Prior caregiving or recreation exposure is a plus, with flexible shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Able to connect with seniors and understand their interests.
• Creative planning of engaging activities for diverse abilities.
• Ability to organize and lead activities that are safe and meaningful.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run a variety of activities (exercise programs, art, trips, events).
• Engage residents personally to tailor experiences to interests and needs.
• Coordinate trips outside the community and handle logistics.
• Foster a warm, inclusive environment for social connections.
• Maintain records of participation and feedback to improve programs.
• Share fresh ideas to keep activities engaging and relevant.
