Monarchmn in Minnesota is seeking a part-time Therapeutic Recreation Aide to support the Therapeutic Recreation Director by delivering daily programming aligned with resident care plans and enhancing quality of life.

You will lead group and one-on-one activities tailored to residents' interests, maintain calendars, assist with transport during events, and help volunteers provide meaningful programming while documenting participation and ensuring HIPAA and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Passion for Senior Care: Demonstrates a genuine desire to work with seniors, including those with illnesses and disabilities, while advocating for their well‑being.
• Relationship Building: Strong ability to connect with residents, families, and staff through empathy, compassion, and active listening.
• Preferred Experience: Background in healthcare settings, such as skilled nursing or assisted living, is beneficial.
• Key Competencies: Multitasking, adaptability, fast-paced environments, and clear English communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily therapeutic programming aligned with each resident’s plan of care and quality of life goals.
• Facilitate group and one-on-one activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
• Maintain activity calendars and adjust schedules based on census changes.
• Assist with transporting residents during in‑facility and off‑site events.
• Document participation and progress and contribute to care coordination.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA, infection control, safety protocols, and QAPI requirements.
