Job summary

Complete Care at La Plata is hiring an Activities Assistant to run scheduled programs and assist residents during the day shift. This is a full-time position located in La Plata, MD, with every other weekend required.

Starting pay is $17 per hour with no on-call responsibilities. You will monitor events, maintain attendance calendars, and help decorate for holidays while coordinating with the nursing team and the Director of Activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently or part of a group.
• Computer knowledge.
• Previous long term care experience is preferred.
• Prior activities experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement scheduled programs and assist residents as needed.
• Monitor resident behavior during events and communicate to nursing as needed.
• Maintain and manage activity attendance calendars.
• Assist in preparing and displaying holiday decorations throughout facility.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Activities and Administrator.
