Job summary

CommuniCare Family of Companies is seeking an Activities Director in Martinsburg, WV to lead the activities team and deliver resident-centered programs.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation (or 90-hour course) and prior management experience, plus an active driver's license. This full-time role offers competitive wages, benefits, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation (preferred) or 90-hour course for activity professionals.
• Prior management, supervisory, or leadership experience.
• Active driver's license with good driving record.
• Knowledge of activity practices and state LTC guidelines.
• Ability to plan, organize, and conduct diverse activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and evaluate diversified resident-centered activities.
• Involve residents in planning, oversee participation, and advocate for residents' needs.
• Participate in resident, family, and department head meetings.
• Maintain records and reports related to activities.
• May participate in fundraising events.
• Promote relationships with the community through outings and volunteers.
• Identify need for and perform disciplinary action as required.
