Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Glenshaw, PA is seeking a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Director in creating engaging recreational and educational programs for Independent Living and Assisted Living residents.

You will help plan monthly activities, lead multiple daily programs, and build relationships with residents and families to promote participation and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or experience; Entry level position with 1-3 years experience highly desired.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexible, imaginative, engaging and have a passion for working with seniors.
• Experience organizing, conducting, and planning programs and activities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be in good physical condition and be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, implementing, and facilitating a wide variety of recreational and educational programs.
• Lead 6-7 high quality programs per day.
• Survey residents to determine interests and satisfaction with programs.
• Coordinate with the program team to plan calendars, events, and outings for the upcoming month.
• Develop relationships with residents and families to encourage participation and satisfaction.
• Document and maintain all records as required; organize resident council meetings.
