Job summary

Hillcrest Health Services in Papillion, Nebraska is seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant to create engaging and therapeutic experiences for residents. This full-time position involves planning and leading recreational programs, encouraging participation, and supporting the physical and emotional well-being of residents.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and lead group and individual recreation programs.
• Encourage residents to maintain and express their abilities through meaningful activities.
• Complete initial assessments, MDS documentation, IDT summaries, and care plans as needed.
• Provide one-on-one programming and sensory enrichment based on resident needs.
• Coordinate with and support volunteers through guidance, scheduling, and relationship building.
• Set up, organize, and clean up materials for daily programs and independent activities.
• Assist residents to and from activities using safe transport procedures.
