The practice spans commercial and regulatory litigation with a nationwide client base, offering direct client engagement and high-impact matter responsibility.

You will collaborate closely with partners, draft pleadings, manage discovery, and develop litigation strategy across evolving statutes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of litigation experience in state and/or federal court.
• Bar admission in CA or ability to obtain promptly.
• Experience partnering with associates across offices.
• Strong research, writing, judgment, and organizational skills.
• Judicial clerkship or government experience is a plus.
• Training at a leading law firm, litigation boutique, or government practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases and discrete litigation components with increasing independence.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and substantive briefs.
• Conduct and oversee written discovery and motion practice.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and client strategy sessions.
• Work closely with partners on litigation strategy and case development.
• Develop legal analysis across evolving statutory and regulatory frameworks.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and regulators.

This role is well suited for an attorney with substantial litigation experience seeking direct client engagement, high-impact matter responsibility, and close collaboration with experienced partners.

This role is well suited for an attorney with substantial litigation experience seeking direct client engagement, high-impact matter responsibility, and close collaboration with experienced partners.

THE PRACTICE

The associate will support and, as appropriate, take lead responsibility in matters that include commercial and corporate litigation, partnership/shareholder/governance disputes, regulatory investigations and enforcement actions, administrative proceedings and writ petitions, and appellate matters and pre-litigation strategic counseling.
