Job summary

The AES Group is seeking a Senior Linux/UNIX System Administrator to manage and maintain Linux and UNIX environments, ensuring performance, security, and reliability. You will mentor junior staff, participate in migrations, cloud integrations, and disaster recovery planning from our Brevard County, FL location.

Responsibilities include proactive maintenance, automation, and documentation, with opportunities to lead infrastructure modernization initiatives and support hardware refresh cycles.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of Linux/UNIX system administration experience.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• Security+ certification.
• IAT Level II certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer Red Hat Linux, Solaris, and other Linux/UNIX operating systems.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, storage utilization, and availability.
• Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Create and document shell scripts and automation tools for administrative tasks.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior administrators.
